Dave Wilms

Dave Wilms has been inspiring others to “Act Locally and Think Globally” for over 30 years as an Educator and community leader.  He received the “Northern Environmental Science Teacher of the Year Award” in 2010 and the “Illinois Community Educator of the Year Award” in 2011.  He helped lead Adlai E. Stevenson High to be come the first and only LEED-EB Gold Certified High School in the country in 2012.

He recently installed two of the largest photovoltaic systems in the Midwest on schools in Libertyville Illinois using grants from the Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation.

He works to help develop policies that will promote manufacturing, employment, and increase tax revenues.
