Join us for a great networking luncheon with guest speaker Commissioner Dan Patlak from the Cook County Board of Review. Commissioner Patlak will be discussing the recent improvements at the Board of Reviews including: Going digital – streamlining online appeal filing, importance of shopping locally, commercial property owners pay 2.5X more in property tax than residential property owners, and exemptions & certificates of error.
Dan Patlak is presently serving his second term representing the 1st District at the Cook County Board of Review. He is a champion of empowering taxpayers through education and communication.
Commissioner Patlak served as a property assessment appeal analyst for eight years at the Board of Review for Commissioner Maureen Murphy specializing in residential, commercial apartment and exempt properties. In 2004, he completed course work to become a Certified Illinois Assessment Officer. In 1986, Dan began his professional career as a real estate Broker in the near north suburbs of Chicago and is a graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI).
Commissioner Patlak is a member of the National and Illinois Realtors Associations, and the International Association of Assessing Officers.
