The Westchester Fire Department is located in two facilities: Station 1 is at 10240 W. Roosevelt Road and Station 2 is at 10760 Cermak Road. The emergency number for ambulance, fire and police emergencies is: 9-1-1.

The non-emergency number for the Fire Department is 345-0433. We are “ready, willing and able” to meet the needs of our residents whenever called upon.

ADMINISTRATIVE OPERATION
The Fire Department is comprised of (six) 6 divisions and numerous committees. Officers lead divisions. Committees are led by firefighters. The divisions of the Department are:
Training:
Captain Waters. Responsible for initial and continuing education of the members of the department.
Fire Prevention:
Lieutenant Lebeda. Supervises the building and inspection of commercial property.
Communications:
Captain Casey. Oversees records, reports, billing and communication systems of the department.
Public Education:
Lieutenant Lebeda. Provides for the emergency medical service needs of the department and community. Provides for the education of the public in CPR, First Aid, E.D.I.T.H., fire extinguisher use and Fire Safety House.
EMS:
Captain Casey.
Water:
Lieutenant DeBoer. Analyzes the capabilities of the Village water system, its components, and the fire department’s ability to provide the required water flow for fire emergencies.
Maintenance:
Lieutenant Veron. Oversees the maintenance needs of the department’s buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment.
Special Operations:
Captain Waters oversees the activity of technical rescue; Lieutenant Deboer oversees HAZ-MAT teams.
Fire Investigation:
Lieutenant Finn. Oversees all fire investigations within the Village of Westchester.
